My favorite Pinball game of all time has to be the Steve Ritchie designed game:

(March 1980)

Games designed by Mr. Richie have smooth playfield flow, beautiful details and well thought out gameplay features.

I like the signature "left lane kickback" you earn by completing a bank of targets in FirePower and BK2K.  I believe the same feature is in other Ritchie games, such as T3.

My older FP game  has "violet" power lights - I have seen blue inserts, which match the "Power" insert in a few games. Click here for more detail on the inserts.

Also notable are "Magna Save" "Hurry Up" and "Last Chance" features which appear in his Black Knight series.

My latest Fire Power project was a playfield swap and a complete rebuild of all mechanical parts.
A complete parts swap to another playfield, including rebuilding the flippers and 4 Jet Bumpers is a huge task. The inserts on the new deck are blue and not violet, so I used NOS blue bullseye targets for the 3 Power and the upper "Scores 1000" target. I also chose to use Transparent Red Plastic for the eject holes and Lit the Ball locks with additional G.I. bulbs. Click here for pictures.

I have stripped and scanned a FirePower playfield for reference and provide that as a resource. It is not a NOS playfield, far from it!  But this could provide information for someone.  Phil and I are planning to produce final artwork from the scan and may publish in the future from his site:-

Firepower Pinball Resources   A FirePower site in the UK maintained by Phil Butcher.  Great graphics, PDFs of game manuals (these are not scanned images) and also the cabinet graphics in actual size.  Excellent.
